Culinary wine tasting: "Spain"

On this evening you will be taken to a culinary wine tasting in this year's guest country Spain. You might have already tasted good wines from Spain or enjoyed culinary specialties. But Friedhelm Conrad from La Cave Wein-Fachhandel Conrad and the team from the restaurant "Zum Weißen Roß" have the claim to compose the combination of wine and food in a special way as part of the Literaturpflaster for an eventful evening. We will take you to Spain with a four-course menu and selected wines. In addition to culinary delights such as Pechuga de pollo sobre verduras mediterráneas, Gambas al Ajillo or Patatas Bravas & Salsa, you will learn a lot about the wines and their growing areas. This is exciting information for newcomers and connoisseurs of Spanish wines and cuisine.

Did you know that vines have been cultivated on the Iberian Peninsula for over 5000 years and that Spain's yield is only 3rd, despite having 1.2 million hectares of vineyards under cultivation? That's because Spain faces severe drought conditions in large parts of the country compared to other wine-producing nations.
