Introduction: Elsemarie Maletzke,
journalist and author

Right from the beginning the guests of the 19th Berleburger Literaturpflaster can expect a special encounter with the authors of this-years host country New Zealand. The photographer Markus Kirchgessner and journalist Elsemarie Maletzke present 17 New Zealand authors, i.a. Lloyd Jones, Witi Ihimaera, Keri Hulme and Emily Perkins, at significant places of their lives. The authors' personalities are reflected in "close up" portraits, freehand sketches and shots of their inspiring surroundings.

The exhibition combines photography and literature in a unique way.
